UK Driving Test Centres

Every DVSA practical car test centre in Great Britain that DVSA publishes a current waiting time for — 307 of them — with that median wait, the three centres you are legally allowed to move a test to, and how a learner-to-learner swap works at each one. The other 11 are in the same dataset and appear as soon as DVSA gives them figures.

About this data

Waiting times come from DVSA table DRT122F, republished monthly on the second Wednesday. Addresses and coordinates come from the DVSA centre list behind the GOV.UK find a driving test centre service. Distances are straight-line, calculated from those coordinates. Closed centres are excluded. The DVSA list can lag the live GOV.UK finder, so confirm on GOV.UK before booking.

Which centres are listed. A centre is listed when DRT122F carries a median wait for it that is no more than three months behind the latest published month. The waiting series is what these pages are built around, so a centre without current figures would have nothing to say beyond its address — and a figure years out of date presented as today's is worse than none. The other 11 appear as soon as DVSA gives them numbers.
